Health Events are an effective means of reaching and improving a

community’s health and knowledge.

In rural poverty-stricken areas, the majority of people cannot reach a health facility.  

The cost of medical, dental and medicine are too high for the low-income families.

Community Health Events offer free checkup, medication and raise the awareness of healthcare & hygiene practices.

Community Health Summary

In 2018, a two-day Health Event

was conducted:

•  15 volunteer Egyptian doctors

•  56 volunteer ushers

•  788 patients – far exceeded the projected 500

•  70% females; 30% males

•  “Pharmacy” setup onsite

•  Toothbrushes distributed

Health Event Goals

•  Conduct a free medical checkup in a variety of healthcare specialties.  

•  The medical screening includes blood pressure, blood

     glucose, body mass index, blood    

    oxygen, eye, vein, chronic disease, and spinal check.

•  Pay for one-month medicatio

•  Pay for a pair of prescription eye glasses

•  Refer chronic illnesses to specialist

•  Promote the awareness of high blood pressure,

    diabetes, Virus C, etc.

•  Promote self-care and hygiene practices

•  Provide transportation to the event for patients in surroundin

    villages

•  When possible, giveaway items such as parasitical pills,

   dental kits, midwifer kits, bandages, etc.
